Designed with a built-in, discreet holder for an Apple AirTag*, the Matrix Air Cage is a revamped take on our popular Matrix Team Cage. Featuring the same minimalist, dual-side-loading design, it goes one step further by cleanly hiding the AirTag between the bottle cage and bike frame for an added level of security. It’s also constructed from the same lightweight, incredibly durable Composite Matrix material and goes one step further with its IP67 waterproof rating keeping the AirTag dry. By developing it to be virtually indistinguishable from a standard water bottle cage, the Matrix Air Cage is a perfect solution to hide an AirTag and utilize Apple’s “FindMy” app to help locate a stolen or missing bicycle. And it’s been verified to work with Apple’s ultra-wideband signal. Lastly, it comes with a set of stainless steel TR25 security bolts, complete with an included tool bit.

"...the Flow Storage Cage is made from fiber-reinforced plastic, making it stiffer and more robust than some of the other cages in the test. Two 16-gram Co2 canisters (which are included) strap with hook and loop to either side of the cage like miniature rocket boosters, and the buckle-style opening keeps the tool compartment sealed. There is a small C02 chuck tucked deep inside the case, beneath the included V16 tool...Plenty of options for even slightly more extensive trail-side repairs."

"The Lezyne Power Bottle cage is one of the best and most burly cages we’ve used. At just 66 grams, that’s impressive. A lot of folks say the King Cage is the best, but I think it has competition. I have three of them and they’ve withstood the rigors of two tours, carried water for over 15,000 kilometers – sometimes on incredibly rough tracks – survived being banged around in and on top of buses and trains, and I’ll confidently bolt them on for the next trip. The best thing about these cages is the fact that they maintain their snug grip. They’re made of oversized hollow aluminum tubing for strength, and the wrap-around design securely holds bottles over rough terrain. I’ve found stainless cages prone to bending and becoming loose, which can produce rattling when used with metal bottles."
