At Lezyne, your Privacy of personal data is critically important and we follow a few fundamental principles:
- We do not ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
- We do not share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products and services, or protect our rights.
- We treat your personal information with the highest regard to privacy and security.
Lezyne respects your right to privacy and shares your concern about the security of any data you may submit to Lezyne via our website, currently accessible at ride.lezyne.com, and Lezyne mobile apps such as, GPS Ally+, LED Ally, Radar React, and any other related services (“the Site”).
This Privacy Policy discloses the guidelines Lezyne has established for protecting the information you provide to Lezyne during your visit to the Site.
This policy applies to the information we collect:
- On the Site
- In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the Site
- Through Lezyne desktop and mobile apps, which provide dedicated non-browser-based interaction between you and the Site
- When you interact with our marketing communications customer service channels and apps from third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this policy. This includes, but is not limited to, integrations with Strava, TrainingPeaks, Komoot and Relive.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your personal information and how we treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy may change from time to time (see PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES AND DISCLAIMER below). Your continued use of the Site after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check this Privacy Policy periodically for updates.
COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
A. PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect personal information when you use the Site, including when you create an account, purchase a product, subscribe to a newsletter, contact customer support, or otherwise interact with us.
“Personal Information” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. Depending on how you interact with the Site, the personal data we may collect includes:
- Name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and payment card information;
- Information you provide by filling in forms on the Site (e.g., registration, service requests, promotions, or surveys);
- Records of correspondence, including email addresses, when you contact us;
- Details of transactions and order fulfillment through the Site, including billing details;
- Search queries or activity logs on the Site.
We may use Personal Information about you for the following purposes:
Communications
We may communicate with you for reasons including without limitation: to provide you with information about the products and services you request or purchase, to communicate with you about your account or transactions with us and to notify you of changes to our policies.
We process your personal data for Communication to fulfill our contractual obligations with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Communications are sent based on your consent which you can withdraw at any time. If you no longer wish to receive communications from us, simply follow the link entitled “Unsubscribe” or send us an email at support@lezyne.com.
Customer Support
When you interact with our customer support representatives via email, telephone, or in person, we may collect Personal Information relevant to the situation, i.e. name, mailing address, phone number, email address and contact preferences; information about the Lezyne product you own, serial number, date of purchase and (if applicable), event logs that are useful in diagnosing product or application performance related issues; and information related to a support or service issue. We use this information to provide you with the superior customer and product support that you have come to expect from Lezyne.
We process your personal data for Customer Service to fulfill our contractual obligations with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), to respond to support inquiries and ensure a high standard of service, which is in our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and to comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Purchases
If you provide credit card information on the Site or to us directly, Lezyne will use your payment card and account information, as well as your name and mailing address (if applicable) for the purpose of fulfilling your purchases or collecting payment (if applicable). The site uses industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, to allow for the encryption of personal information.
In addition, Lezyne’s secure servers protect this information using advanced firewall technology.
We process your personal data for Purchases to fulfill our contractual obligations (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) for processing purchases you initiate, maintain security and integrity of financial transactions which is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and fulfill legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) related to financial transactions and anti-fraud.
Newsletter
If you choose to opt-in for the Lezyne newsletter on the site or during account registration, we will first send you an email confirmation to verify your subscription. Your subscription will only become active once you confirm by clicking the link in that email (double opt-in). This ensures that no one can subscribe you without your explicit permission.
Once confirmed, we will use your email address to send you newsletters containing product updates, company news, promotions, or other marketing communications related to Lezyne.
Lezyne does not share, rent or sell your information to any other company.
We process your email address for the sole purpose of delivering newsletters and marketing updates based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). As part of our compliance with GDPR consent standards, we use a double opt-in process to confirm that the subscription request was initiated by you. Your consent is documented and stored for audit purposes.
You may remove your name from our email list by opting out in the link at the bottom of an email message from Lezyne, by updating your profile in the Account section or by emailing support@lezyne.com.
B. GPS ROOT WEBSITE AND GPS ALLY+ MOBILE APP
When you create an account using the GPS Root website, at www.gpsroot.com, or the GPS Ally+ mobile app, we ask you to provide your email address, first and last name, and password. You can add additional information to your profile, such as your location and your gender, birthdate, height and weight after you log in.
You can choose to upload activities (e.g., runs, walks, bike rides, hikes, etc.) and activity data (e.g., distance, pace, activity time, calories burned, heart rate, location, etc.) from your device to your Lezyne account. You can use your device without providing your consent to upload your activities to Lezyne.
When you add certain Lezyne devices to your Lezyne account, we ask for additional information, such as your gender, birth date.
If you enable email notifications, we process your email address in accordance with your notification settings.
When you sync your device through the Lezyne GPS Root website or GPS Ally+ mobile app, we log data about the transmission, such as the IP address used when syncing, the sync time and date, crash/diagnostic logs, geographic location of the device, information about your device. For compatible products, we will also gather analytics on how you configure and use certain features.
If you choose to enable your Lezyne account to access accounts you have with other app providers, such as your Strava or TrainingPeaks account, we will obtain information about you from such account.
For the GPS Root website and the GPS Ally+ app, we process your personal data to create and manage your account, authenticate access and provide access to your activity data to fulfill our contractual obligations to you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), provide personalized features based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to deliver and improve our services, collect health and fitness data based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a) GDPR for special category data), to send system notifications and marketing emails based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), to comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) and to monitor service functionality and diagnose technical interested based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in maintaining platform reliability and performance.
C. OTHER INFORMATION
When you visit the Site, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information automatically from your device. In some countries, including countries in the European Economic Area, this information may be considered personal information under applicable data protection laws. “Other Information” is any information that does not reveal your specific identity or does not directly relate to an individual, such as browser and device information, app and usage data information, you IP address, device type, unique device identification numbers, browser-type, your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your operating system and carrier.
For Site users, details of any referring website or exit pages as well as broad geographic location (e.g., country or city-level location) may also be collected. Please note that we may use and disclose “Other Information” for any purpose except where we are required to do other under applicable law. If we are required to treat “Other Information” as “Personal Information” under applicable law, then we may use it as described in “Personal Information”. In some instances, we may combine “Other Information” and “Personal Information” in which case the combined information will be treated by us as “Personal Information” as long as it is combined.
Other information may include:
- Details of your visits to the Site, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Site.
- Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type. We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking). For information on how you can opt out of behavioral tracking on the Site and how we respond to web browser signals and other mechanisms that enable consumers to exercise choice about behavioral tracking, please contact our Data Protection Officer using one of the contact methods below.
The information we collect automatically is only statistical data and does not include personal information, but we may maintain it or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways or receive from third parties. It helps us to improve the Site and to deliver a better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to:
- Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
- Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize the Site according to your individual interests.
- Speed up your searches.
- Recognize you when you return to the Site.
The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:
Server Log Information
Server log information is used for calculating site usage levels, helping diagnose problems with Lezyne servers and products and to resolve problems with the Site.
Cookies (or browser cookies)
A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer that has no meaning outside of Lezyne and contains no personally identifying information. Cookies are used to allow for a smoother navigation of the Site (i.e., personalization to save your member ID and to keep track of your shopping cart). You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of the Site. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to the Site.
Flash Cookies
Certain features of the Site may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on the Site. Flash cookies are not managed by selecting or deselecting the same browser settings as browser cookies. Web Beacons
Pages on the Site and our e-mails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit Lezyne, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of content on the Site and verifying system and server integrity).
Google Analytics
Lezyne uses Google Analytics as a method of tracking site statistics and user behavior.
Collecting this information enables us to better understand the visitors who come to our Site, where they come from, and what content on our Site is of interest to them. We use this information for our internal analytics purposes and to improve the quality and relevance of our Site for our visitors, for example, to customize your user experience, tailor your searches and show you advertisements that may be of interest. We may also use this automatic information to prevent and detect fraud. If you do not want information collected via these technologies, most browsers have settings that allow you to automatically decline many of them. Alternatively, you can contact us using one of the methods listed at the bottom of this Privacy Policy.
Social Media
You may choose to enable or log in to your account via various social media or social networking services (i.e. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). The integration of these Social Networking Services may offer you a richer and more personalized experience with our products and services. We collect certain personal information that you have provided to the Social Networking Service (i.e. your Facebook profile, email address, profile picture involving Lezyne products).
Other Third Parties
We may receive personal data about you from third parties, including business partners, service providers, and public sources, such as updated contact details or transaction history.
We only share personal data with third parties:
- When you provide explicit consent (e.g., to link your account to apps such as Strava, TrainingPeaks, Komoot, or Relive);
- When necessary for the operation and improvement of our services;
- When legally required or justified under a valid legal basis.
You can disable or disconnect third-party sharing at any time through your account settings. Once data is shared, the third party becomes a separate controller and is responsible for how it processes your information.
Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis for processing non-essential cookies, marketing, behavioral tracking, or third-party integrations (e.g., social media or analytics tools) is obtained through your prior, informed consent (Article 6(1)(a)) through a cookie banner, our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) to operate, secure, and improve our website and services, and our legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) to process data with legal or regulatory obligations.
D. ANALYTICS
We collect data from users about their usage of the Lezyne GPS Ally+ mobile app, LED Ally app, and Radar React app.
The types of analytical information that are collected include:
- the date and time the app was used,
- app version,
- the location of the device,
- language setting,
- the model of GPS or device,
- User behavior (e.g., features used, frequency of use),
- Device state information, device model, hardware and operating system information, and information relating to how the app functions.
Lezyne uses this data to improve the quality and functionality of our apps; to develop and market products and features that best serve you and other users; and to help identify and fix app stability issues and other usability problems as quickly as possible.
These are the third-party providers we currently use:
- Google: Google Analytics is used to track statistics and user demographics, interests, and behavior in apps. Find out more information about how this analytics information may be used, how to control the use of your information, and how to opt out of having your data used by Google Analytics.
- Firebase (Crashlytics): Firebase (Crashlytics), a Google service, is used to help us better understand usage of Lezyne apps to improve user experience and to identify and resolve the root cause of app crashes.
We process your personal data for Analytic data based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) and for our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) of how our apps are used and function. We do not use analytics data to directly identify users unless necessary to resolve technical support requests or if explicitly consented to. We retain analytics data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes stated above or as required by law.
E. ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION
You have the right to access, correct, update, restrict, or delete your personal data held by us, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
You can access and update certain personal data by logging into your account and visiting your profile settings.
If you are unable to make changes through your account, you may contact us at support@lezyne.com to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your data (also known as the “right to be forgotten”);
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances;
- Request the transfer of your data (data portability), where applicable.
Please note that deletion of your personal data may require deletion of your user account and associated content. In some cases, we may be unable to comply with a request if it would violate a legal obligation, compromise the rights of others, or result in inaccurate records.

F. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
We may disclose Personal Information about you to others if we have your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) to do so in written form. We may also disclose Personal Information about you to others as we believe to be necessary or appropriate:
- under applicable law or regulation, including laws or regulations outside your country or residence (Article 6(1)(c))
- if Lezyne finds that you are in breach of its terms and conditions or any of its policies or usage guidelines for specific products or services (Article 6(1)(f))
- it is necessary in Lezyne’s opinion to do so to prevent, investigate, detect or prosecute criminal offenses or attacks on the technical integrity of the Site or Lezyne’s network; (Article 6(1)(f))
- it is necessary in Lezyne’s opinion to do so to protect the rights, property or safety of Lezyne or its employees, the users of the Site or the public; (Article 6(1)(f))
- to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates and subsidiaries (Article 6(1)(f))
- to protect the rights, privacy, safety or property of Lezyne, its affiliates and subsidiaries, and (Article 6(1)(f))
- to permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain. (Article 6(1)(f))
G. SECURITY AND RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Lezyne implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.
If you believe your account or interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately at support@lezyne.com.
To enhance your own security online, we recommend enabling your browser’s security features. These may alert you to insecure connections or invalid site certificates. Always check for secure URLs (beginning with https://) and the presence of a padlock icon in your browser to confirm you are connected to a secure server. You can also review a site's security certificate details for added assurance.
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
The retention periods may vary depending on the type of data:
- Account information (e.g., name, email, device data) is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will erase or anonymize your data within 30 days, unless legal obligations require us to retain certain information longer (e.g., for tax or anti-fraud purposes).
- Activity data (e.g., workout and fitness data) is retained until you delete it or delete your account.
- Technical logs and diagnostic data are retained for a limited period (typically 90 days) to ensure the security and reliability of our services.
- Marketing communications data is retained until you withdraw consent or opt out of receiving future communications.
- We may retain anonymized or aggregated data that is no longer linked to an identifiable individual for analytical and statistical purposes.
H. YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides you with additional rights regarding the personal information we collect about you. We collect the Personal Information described in section A and B of this privacy notice.
CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS MAY REQUEST THAT WE:
Disclose the following information covering the 12 months preceding their request:
- The categories of Personal Information we collected about you and the categories of sources from which we collected such Personal Information;
- The specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you;
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting Personal Information about you; and
- The categories of Personal Information about you that we otherwise shared or disclosed, and the categories of third parties with whom we shared or to whom we disclosed such Personal Information (if applicable).
Delete Personal Information we collected from you.

I. PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES AND DISCLAIMER
We may make updates to this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice. If we make material changes to how we treat users’ personal information, we will notify you by email to the email address associated with your user registration. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you. We encourage you to periodically visit this Privacy Policy to check for any changes.
While Lezyne works hard to protect your personal information, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as absolutely secure, and Lezyne cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Lezyne. Transmitting personal information is done at your own risk.
J. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13
We take the privacy of children seriously and are committed to protecting it in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Site is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, children under the age of 16 (or a lower age if permitted by the applicable Member State, but not below 13). Users under the relevant minimum age should not use the Site, create an account, make purchases, or submit any personal data to us.
If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child below the applicable age of digital consent without verifiable parental authorization, we will delete that data without undue delay.
